Yeah, I know what you mean. Another self-absorbed a$$hole, who
thinks the pearls of wisdom that pour from their mouth (or keystrokes as the
case may be) should be quickly gobbled up by the masses. I mean, how did your
life have any meaning before you read their last post?
Before you switch over to your favorite
Youtube, (or Youporn) video, let me say that we do not promise enlightenment,
the meaning of life or an example for all to follow. Our attempt here is merely
to chronicle parts of our lives and topics we enjoy that our friends and family
may also find intriguing (while perhaps being only slightly narcissistic as to
think our lives and interest are actually interesting to others) and to have
something to read when we are old and have absolutely no idea who these people
are that we are reading about.
Michelle and I have been together for two
years and each day find that we become even more suited for each other.
The statement "Where have you been all my life?" couldn't be
more true. Each having settled for something less than what we should
have more than once in our pasts, we both try live the lives we have now to the
fullest, making the most of every moment. Cliche? Sure, but it is
in fact spot-on.
Each and every day we try to pursue our bliss...whatever
that may be at the moment. Sometimes that is curling up on the bed with
our kids reading the latest chapter of Treasure Island, sometimes it is our
next backpacking adventure or mountaintop hike and sometimes it is cranking up
the music dancing around the kitchen as we cook our another sumptuous meal.
We have a passion for good food, good conversation, entertaining friends,
travel, just about anything that gets us outdoors, history, politics, and
reading about any of the aforementioned as well.
That is what we would like to document
here... our pursuit of bliss, our enjoyment of life and to highlight others we
know and admire who do the same.
On here you will find food and drink
recipes, travel ideas, music, as well as various things (and people) we find
fun and interesting. Our hope is that you might read this and use it as a
spring board to inspire you to find your own bliss...whatever that may be to
you. That is the important thing...you should, no you must, go after your
bliss. This life is short, and we have all wasted too much of it. Get out and
make the life that you have always dreamed you could have. It's all up to you!
That is an extremely smart written article. I will be sure to bookmark it and return to learn extra of your useful information. Thank you for the post. I will certainly return.
